Cant say enough good things about Backpackers. Bambi, Dani, Ice and the crew are great. From helping us book our tickets, open water and advanced scuba course at Crystal and of course feeding us some great sushi and wraps next door the experience in Ko Phangan was as good as it was because of them! If you need any %#@%#@istance while on the island make sure to check out backpackers.

Thanks very much for your help and chats at your dive shop in September. We both really enjoyed the diving and the way you guys did everything. Thanks also for the advice about full moon craziness and whether or not I had decompression sickness. I hope you, your wife, your son and your staff are all very happy and very well.

If anyone reading this is considering going diving on Ko Tao/Phangan I would completely recommend going with these guys, they really are top notch.

Hi Bambi! Ended my diving courses and i'm so excited of beeing an Advanced Diver! Can't wait to go diving in Fiji! Had a great time at Crystal, really enjoyed the courses, especially my Advanced Course which i took in English with Yuki, the Japanese instructor and Darren from England as an %#@%#@istant - they were just great!! :) In Bangkok now, staying at New Road Guesthouse where i've already met some really nice people! Missing the English and Irish a bit though!! ;) Thanks for everything! A quick message to welcome our new Swedish staff member to the Backpackers & Crystal/Lotus team!
Sandra Lundberg (see her on facebook) has recently joined us as Manager to run our dive operations and provide back-up service in Backpackers Information Centre.
Sandra is a Divemaster and undertook her certification with us last year at Lotus Diving here on Koh Phangan and she's been living on the island for a number of years so can help customers with loads of information about the island and travelling through Asia.
She is a valuable %#@%#@et to our team and will help broaden our businesses across the Scandanavian customer base.
Sandra is presently undertaking her 40 metre Deep dive speciality and Nitrox Course over at our dive school, Crystal Dive in Koh Tao and this will add to the broad range of products that we have expertise in that we provide here from our office on Koh Phangan.

Can anyone tell me if it is possible to have your mobile phone sim-unlocked on Koh Phangan ?
If so, where ?

Comment: There are no technical experts on Koh Phangan - wait until you get back to BKK or your home country. You didnt say whether it was an international SIM but nevertheless the same advice app%#@%#@s - In the meantime buy a cheap Thai SIM such as GSM - they cost only 200baht (including 50 baht call time) from any 7/11 store and if you put 009 infront of the international number you are dialling then call rates are around only 7 baht per minute! I advise all people NOT to use International SIM's out here as you pay high call rates PLUS the number you are dialling also has to pay high costs for the International connection rates - using a Thai SIM card there are no connection fees at either end!!!
