There is little to see in the way of marine life, but there are some decent waves for body surfing.

The coral reef that lays along the southern facing coast of the island starts here, thus in low tidal season (April to November) swimming on the beach side of the reef is not always possible. Had Rin Nai (west) is split into two halves by a small rocky foothill, thus the southern section is accessed from the pier side of Had Rin town and the northern section can be reached from the main road at the bottom of the Had Rin hills. Had Yao has developed over the years in harmony with the beautiful surroundings, retaining its natural splendor and laid back vibe that drew the first travellers here. Due to its longstanding popularity, the beach has developed to accommodate both budget and high end tourist markets making it a vibrant and busy beach in high season (December to March). The coral reef lies about 400 metres off the beach, and in low tidal season (April to November), swimming on the beach side of the reef is not always possible.

The clinic has also been fully furnished to provide high standard living quarters for PAC's nurses PAC Ko Pangan has been gratefully embraced by the local residents of the island, as there has never been any option to obtain treatment unless the animal was brought to the adjacent island. PAC has been operating since September 2001 as a non-profit nursing clinic providing medical treatment for all animals. PhaNgan Animal Care is located on the south of the island, approximately 1 km from the main town of Thong Sala, on the road to Haad Rin Beach. Mae Haad Bay is one of the best coastal snorkeling sites on Koh Phangan. Just outside Chaloklum you can enjoy an elephant ride through Koh Phangan's jungle. Phaeng waterfall was declared forest park in 1977. The Waterfall cascades vigorously downstream between forested shady banks. Than Sadet is a historical site due to frequent visits there between 1888 and 1909 by Siam's great King Chulalongkorn, Rama V, whose initials are engraved on many big boulders along this rocky river. The year-round waterfall of Than Sadet cascades into the ocean at Haad Sadet beach.

The local divesites along the westcoast of the island are in distances of maximum 30 minutes by Longtailboat from our dive-center. All our Daytrips and Local Trips around Kho Pan-nghan Island are suitable for snorkellers as well. Technical diving is one of the fastest growing segments of the recreational diving business. From easy dives of the beach to longer dive trips by boat you can experience the tropical underwater world of the Gulf of Thailand. Trekkings are booked daily from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm including Sundays. Our facility was designed to meet the special needs of our precious pachyderms. They even receive a yearly check-up from a government appointed veterinarian. Trekking is quite popular during the high season so in order to plan the tours more efficiently and minimize waiting times, we are happy to arrange advance bookings.
