The Mergui Archipelago & Burma Banks offer divers some fantastic liveaboard diving holidays. Most liveaboard trips offer you a wide variety of
dives sites across the Mergui Archipelago and the Burma banks and are solely the domain of liveaboard operators due to their distance from the main tourist spots.

Black Rock
Black Rock is one of the best dive sites in the Mergui Archipelago with a fantastic range of reef
life including large pelagics such as Bull sharks, Grey Reef sharks, Silvertips, Blacktips plus eagle
and manta rays! The rock itself has steep banks with two walls either side! Off the deeper areas
you will find an abundance of soft corals.

Shark Cave - OK Rock
Famous for its resident docile nurse sharks! This ragged cave is between 5-16 metres deep and
the entrance is often patrolled by grey reef sharks, trevallys and sweetlips. Through the bowl
of the cave a tunnel leads to the other side of the pinnacle with an abundance of hard corals.

Twins Islands - North Twin and South Twin
There is visiting Bull Sharks frequently at these dive sites nearly 50Km from Shark cave!
There are also visiting Eagle Rays off the sloping rocky ridges plus flower corals, fans
and lobsters.

High Rock
High Rock is a small inlet with a single tree! With maximum depth of 25m there is soft
coral beds and cup coral in the deeper sites. Lion fish, scrpian fish and seahorses can
be found hidden in the rocky cravises.

Western Rocky
A small barren island, perhaps 60 m wide, it is home to hundreds of painted spiny lobsters
and some playful nurse sharks. Cuttlefishes and big reef squid are common, and giant fusiliers
sweep over the reef, made up of large flower corals and yellow featherstars. There is a tunnel
leads right through the island.

Burma Banks
The Burma banks are a group of seamounts with surrounding waters exceeding a depth of 300 m,
the top of the banks rise to within 15-24 m of the surface. Silvertips sharks are quite common
here. Tawny nurse sharks are also easily spotted, as they doze half-hidden under the overhangs
created by the table corals that dot the flat seascape here.
