Specialising in the Andaman Sea, we personally design & refurbish all our liveaboard boats to exactly meet your demanding requirements - and ours.

Unique, in that our boat is specifically designed for a specific customer market, we recognise that all divers have different needs. We provide safe diving supervised by experienced staff in small groups - maximum 4 divers per group, high safety standards, easy access to your equipment and the dive deck, excellent food and service and, of course, lots of fun.

The classic trip in the Andaman Sea onboard our spacious boat with air-conditioned sleeping area containing individual bunks for your comfort. There is a choice of places to relax, either in our open air dining area or in a hammock or sun mattress on our large sundeck.

Continuing this season due to its popularity, there will be no night dive on the final evening. Instead, we invite you to join us for a relaxing evening onboard, starting with a cocktail at sunset followed by a barbecue on the sundeck.

A great favourite with all our divers, the MV Andamen draws our customers back again and again to dive onboard one of the most friendly and relaxing liveaboards in the Andaman Sea.

There is a wide variety of dive sites on this trip, from the beautiful reefs of the Surin Islands to the impressive rock formations of the Koh Tachai, with their submerged plateaux and ridges, and visit the world famous Richelieu Rock, the isolated pinnacle that attracts large schools of fish and pelagics, plus the occasional whale shark.

Before the first dive of the day, help yourself to free tea/coffee and a light snack to help you wake up. After the first dive a western style breakfast is served. Lunch and dinner are Thai style - a selection of different Thai dishes (not so spicy!) with a strong emphasis on fish and seafood. Vegetarians are welcome, and special food requirements can be catered for.

Throughout the day light snacks and fresh fruit are served and soft drinks are free - help yourself. Beer is available after the last dive of the day (or before for anyone not diving) at around B60 per can. With our excellent cooks, we are certain that our onboard cuisine will be a memorable part of your dive trip.

Located ... on the west coast of Phang Nga province in southern Thailand, Khao Lak and Thap Lamu harbour are the nearest departure points for the Similan Islands.

Only 1 hour north of Phuket International Airport, two hours north of Phuket town and easily accessible by overnight bus from Bangkok, we are also on the route for daily bus and minibus services from Krabi, Surat Thani, Ranong and Phuket town.

Professionalism ... We are a PADI 5 STAR IDC DIVE OPERATOR - a member of the world’s largest diver training agency. We also sponsor DAN (the Divers Alert Network) and are affiliated with our local recompression chamber, SSS Hyperbaric Services Of Thailand, located in Phuket.

Experience ... we employ only qualified Divemasters, speaking a variety of languages - including English, German, French, Dutch, Danish, Afrikaans, Polish and Thai. Many of our staff return season after season and therefore have logged hundreds of dives in the Andaman Sea.

Safety…. One of the most important points, for you - and for us. All our dive equipment is purchased new and serviced regularly and all dives are planned to be well within the recommended limits. We have full safety equipment at our Dive Center and onboard all our liveaboard boats, including comprehensive medical kits and 4 oxygen rebreather kits, giving 100% oxygen for at least 5 hours in the unlikely event of an emergency.
