For the diver on a tigher time schedule but still wanting high quality and comfort the MV Mariner has been designed to exactly meet your demanding requirements - and ours.

We provide safe diving supervised by experienced staff in small groups - maximum 4 divers per group, the highest safety standards plus great food and customer service.

If you would like to spend the majority of your time diving the Similan Islands, then we invite you onboard the MV Mariner.

Recently designed, the MV Mariner specialises in comfort and personalised service, featuring air-conditioned twin cabins, an air-conditioned salon, hot water showers, an outside covered dining area so you can enjoy the view as you dine and a large sundeck, partially covered, complete with sun mattresses, sun beds and hammocks.

You will have plenty of time to dive many of the famous dive sites in the Similan Islands, and in-between dives either relax onboard or go ashore to the white sand beaches. On the final evening, join us and your newly found friends for a relaxing and usually lively evening onboard with sunset cocktails and a barbecue dinner on the open air sundeck.

Would you like to keep a permanent memory of your diving trip? On many departures of the MV Mariner our onboard videographer will be filming both above and beneath the water, and at the end of the trip you have the chance to view and purchase this personalised memento of your time onboard and underwater.

Dining onboard our liveaboard boats

We provide free tea/coffee and a light snack to help you wake up before your first dive of the day. After the first dive a western style breakfast is served. Lunch and dinner are Thai style - a selection of different Thai dishes (not so spicy!) with a strong emphasis on fish and seafood. Vegetarians are welcome, and special food requirements can be catered for.

Through each day light snacks and fresh fruit are served and soft drinks are free - help yourself. Enjoy our great food prepared by our high quality chefs.

Located ... on the west coast of Phang Nga province in southern Thailand, Khao Lak and Thap Lamu harbour are the nearest departure points for the Similan Islands. Only 1 hour north of Phuket International Airport, two hours north of Phuket town and easily accessible by overnight bus from Bangkok, we are also on the route for daily bus and minibus services from Krabi, Surat Thani, Ranong and Phuket town.

Professionalism ... We are a PADI 5 STAR IDC DIVE OPERATOR - a member of the world’s largest diver training agency. We also sponsor DAN (the Divers Alert Network) and are affiliated with our local recompression chamber, SSS Hyperbaric Services Of Thailand, located in Phuket.

Experience ... we employ only qualified Divemasters, speaking a variety of languages - including English, German, French, Dutch, Danish, Afrikaans, Polish and Thai. Many of our staff return season after season and therefore have logged hundreds of dives in the Andaman Sea.

Safety…. One of the most important points, for you - and for us. All our dive equipment is purchased new and serviced regularly and all dives are planned to be well within the recommended limits. We have full safety equipment at our Dive Center and onboard all our liveaboard boats, including comprehensive medical kits and 4 oxygen rebreather kits, giving 100% oxygen for at least 5 hours in the unlikely event of an emergency.
