Don Mueang Airport to Open Flights on May 1
At the moment, only Nok Air operates domestic flights from Don Mueang, 10 return flights per day, and transport around 1000 passengers daily. Today, on April 28, The director of Airport made a statement that starting on May 1 two more airlines will start flying: Thai Air Asia and Thai Lion Air.
What’s to change on May 1:
- Nok Air will increase the number of flights to 24 per day.
- Thai Air Asia is launching 18 return flights per day. Flights are opened to such destinations: Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai province, Khon Kaen province, Udon Thani province, Ubon Ratchathani province, Nakhon Phanom province, Roi Et province, Nakhon Si Thammarat province, Trang province, Hat Yai province, Surat Thani province
- Thai Lion Air is launching return 4 flights per day. Destinations: Chiang Mai, Ubon Ratchathani, Khon Kaen, Surat Thani, Hat Yai, Nakhon Si Thammarat
The total number of passengers going via Don Mueang is expected to increase to 3000-4000 people daily.
Health Measures
Additional points for temperature checks have been installed. The temperature of the passengers entering the airport should not be higher than 37.5 degrees celsius.
Masks should be worn at all times, and social distancing should be kept.
