Koh Ngai is a stunning and small island situated in the Trang Province of Thailand. It is only 4 kilometers wide and 2 kilometers long. It has a few pristine sandy beaches, crystal-clear turquoise waters, and a very unusual sight – a Kuan Tong Rock. If you are traveling from Koh Jum to Koh Ngai, the only way to get there is by ferry. You have two options: book a speedboat with a connection in Koh Lanta, or a private taxi and longtail boat transfer. Below, we will describe exactly how to get to the island and attach the schedule.

Koh Jum to Koh Ngai by Speedboat

The most straightforward way to get to Koh Ngai from Koh Jum is by taking a speedboat service by Tigerline Travel. It includes two speedboat rides: Koh Jum Pier to Koh Lanta, and Koh Lanta to Koh Ngai Pier.

The duration of the whole trip is around 2 – 2.5 hours, depending on the weather and which trip you take – the afternoon trip takes 45 minutes longer to reach the island.

Koh Jum to Koh Ngai by Taxi and Longtail Boat

The second travel option is a private transfer first by taxi (economy or van) and then by a longtail boat. The duration of such a trip is around 3-3.5 hours, and it’s very convenient because they pick you up directly at the hotel in Koh Jum.

There is currently one company providing such a service- King Travel. They have new airconditioned vehicles and experienced drivers, so we can’t recommend them enough.
