In 1964, Mr. Kamron Thongkhamkoon established Thaipattanakit Transport Co., Ltd., marking the beginning of the company now known as Greenbus. Initially, the company operated a single route between Lampang and Chiang Rai with wooden-bodied buses resembling trucks. The distinctive green color of these buses earned them the nickname “Green Mail.” 60 years later, GreenBus is one of the largest bus operators in Thailand, covering routes all over the country.

The company is headquartered in Chiang Mai, and operates from the Arcade Bus Terminal (Bus Terminal 3). It serves many popular destinations, including Chiang Rai, Bangkok, Phuket, and Krabi.

GreenBus Buses Fleet

GreenBus has two types of buses that you can book: express bus and VIP bus.

Express Bus:

• Comfort Level: While the Express Bus offers a convenient and efficient travel option, it has slightly less legroom compared to the VIP Bus.
• Amenities: Passengers receive a complimentary bottle of water for the journey.

VIP Bus:

• Seating Configuration: 3 seats per row
• Comfort Level: The VIP Bus is designed for maximum comfort with plenty of legroom, making long trips much more enjoyable. The seats are spacious and reclinable, so you’ll have a cozy travel experience.
• Amenities: This premium option comes with a powerful air conditioning system, a free bottle of water, a snack, and a clean onboard toilet. Additionally, each passenger is provided with a sick bag, just in case.
