Is 12go Asia Legit?

Yes! We came across their service back in 2013, when their coverage was limited to just a few countries, and have been using them for booking tickets ever since. The company is officially registered and has its head office in Bangkok.

As of August 2022, the platform features tickets by more than 10,000 operators and 304,839 destinations. The list of countries where they operate is huge, among them Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia, Laos, Singapore, Myanmar, India, Philippines, Japan, China, Australia, New Zealand, Croatia, Taiwan, Sri Lanka, Czech Republic, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Poland, Mexico and many more.

Why Do We Book Tickets at 12Go?

Pricing

In general, 12Go’s prices are either on the same level or a little higher than the tickets at the local counter,  since they also charge a payment system fee. If you’re on a tight budget, you can try to go and search for the tickets locally from the street agencies, and bargain. However, it doesn’t guarantee you a seat on the date (seats for the popular routes sell out fast).

Booking tickets online is also time-saving, that’s why a slightly higher price is still worth it.

Customer Reviews

According to the open review platform Trustpilot, 12Go’s rating is 4 out of 5, based on 787 reviews, which is pretty high. The majority of the people like the service.

Some reviewers say that 12Go “gives you a lot of choices between bus, van, flight, taxi.” Another reviewer wrote: “So so easy to book the train tickets from the UK for India trains many of the Indian booking websites wouldn’t allow you unless you have a login/are a member. I would definitely use it again!” Indeed, 12Go is the only online option for booking Indian Railway without the need to create an account with a local Sim card.

Of course, some reviewers point out the improvements which should be made by the operators sold at 12Go: “Please, just do not set the bus temperature so low…” Indeed, many A/C buses in Thailand have it set to super-cold! We guess this advice can be applicable to many providers.

12Go Transport

In 2019, 12Go announced the launch of their own transport. These are comfy vans that service the most popular routes in Thailand, such as Bangkok – Ayutthaya, Bangkok – Chiang Mai, Pattaya – Bangkok, and many others. The fill list can be found on the routes page.

Since it’s their signature service, 12Go has clearly invested a lot of resources into making customers happy with the buses. Reviews show that 99.9% of travelers were satisfied with the service. Impressive, isn’t it?

Tickets for 12Go Transport have an instant confirmation, which means you can always be sure that you’re got a reserved seat on the date of travel.

• Buses are air-conditioned and have USB chargers.

From personal experience, I can point out that the drivers are qualified and keep a safe distance from the vehicles ahead (something not many others do), which made me confident in the safety standards.
