Ferry journeys take approximately 2-3 hours and offer beautiful views around Surat Thani’s coastline and karst island formations. Most ferries also provide snacks and refreshments for purchase onboard. If you would like to avoid the ferry journey altogether, it is possible to take a bus or taxi from Surat Thani Airport directly to your resort on Koh Samui. Bus services run frequently between Surat Thani Airport and Nathon Pier on Samui. Taxi services may cost more but offer the convenience of direct door-to-door service. In either case, traveling from Surat Thani to Koh Samui is straightforward and easy.

Option 1: Surat Thani Train Station to Koh Samui

Conveniently, you can depart right from the train station. There are a few companies operating this route, among them are Phantip, Lomprayah, and Raja Ferry. The travel time from Surat Thani train station to Koh Samui is around 2-4 hours, and the tickets cost around 400 THB. We recommend booking Lomparayh, as their service is by far the fastest and the most organized.

Option 2: Surat Thani Airport to Koh Samui

Seatran, Raja Ferry, and Lomprayah offer transfer services directly from the Surat Thani Airport. The price of such a trip is around 500 THB.

Lomprayah: If you choose Lomparayh, they have a Lomprayah Kiosk at the airport. The meeting place is the second-floor exit of the international arrivals building.

Raja Ferry: Look for the Raja Ferry counter for check-in.

Option 3: Surat Thani City to Koh Samui

The journey from the Surat Thani hotel to the Koh Samui hotel takes an average of 4 hours and 30 minutes. There is also a selection of companies and departure timings, so just use the form below to check the departures available for your date.
